Job Description Summary

Syniverse is growing. We’re launching a new brand and expanding our customer base. To do that, we need an expert storyteller to drive our new brand forward. To tell the story of where we’re going and what’s next for the world of business. To bring our brand to life.

This position requires a proven track record of turning brand strategy into content, telling stories across media, and understanding customer needs and just how to message to them. Whether writing four words or 400, you know every word counts and you are committed to the right structure, tone, and personality in all that you produce. To be successful in this role, you will ensure that the content produced at Syniverse speaks with a clear strategic direction and personality and are responsible for clearly and effectively communicating this across mediums.

General Summary

This role creates and ensures the proper execution of the brand voice for all channels, touchpoints and modes of communication. A highly cross-functional role, you’d be responsible for the overall quality and consistency of the brand verbal identity including developing guidelines, assets and content (e.g., voice, brand story, key messaging, etc.) The work you produce will be highly visible, whether at a trade show, sales meeting, or on the website itself, you will be impacting how customers, partners, and employees learn and feel about Syniverse.

Principal Responsibilities

• Strategic and stylistic owner of Syniverse’s brand voice. Responsible for effectively telling our brand’s story and expressing our brand personality, adapting to the correct context to deliver the right message at the right time to the right person.

• Responsible for writing content for high-impact brand touchpoints such as web pages, events, executive presentations, brand stories, and “About Syniverse” content.

• Use your strong writing and editing skills to develop internal communications and external messaging, producing on-brand, concise, stylistically impressive deliverables, with an ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling messages.

• Owns the Syniverse brand voice guidelines and works cross-functionally to revise, edit and proofread content to drive adherence with brand voice and personality.

• Manages naming and naming process, including product and solution naming and naming guidelines, conducting naming assessments, brainstorms, and generating names.

• Responsible for brand verbal identity training and auditing to ensure alignment with desired identity.

• Works independently to resolve issues, coordinating with leadership or subject matter specialists when necessary.

Job Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in similar role related to content strategy, copy writing and other elements of writing brand verbal identity.

• A mix of agency and corporate experience desired, including managing corporate verbal identity guidelines

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or other related field of study.

• Experience working for in B2B technology or translating complex business solutions into simple messaging

• SEO and HTML skills desirable
