Narrative Science is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to drive our go-to-market strategy for our platform and solutions offerings. The Product Marketing Manager will optimize and refine our positioning, develop campaigns to acquire, convert, and upgrade customers, provide Sales with training and tools, manage our launch process, and work with Product Management to gather and synthesize market feedback that will influence our roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the key tenets of B2B product marketing in a high-growth SaaS environment, including: product positioning, market analysis, product launch & post-launch activities, sales enablement, and analyst relations. This person should be both data-driven and an exceptional communicator, with strong attention to detail and an eye towards innovation, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into business benefits. The Product Marketing Manager must absolutely be a collaborative team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment working in a role that requires strategic thinking and an execution-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, define and communicate the target audiences and marketing roadmap that supports our platform and solutions strategy
Deliver competitive intelligence by performing market and competitive research and analysis
Develop customer segmentation and marketing campaign strategies focused on acquisition and conversion
Own the marketing strategy through the entire life-cycle, helping inform feature development and customer adoption initiatives
Collaborate with Product team to design a strong product marketing infrastructure that integrates all functional areas of marketing, including web strategy, content strategy (case studies, user guides, etc.), demand generation campaigns, and events
Measure and analyze marketing initiatives and ongoing performance to quantify campaign success to identify areas for improvement
Plan and manage application launch process and associated marketing activities
Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services and Customer Support to create sales training/ tools and customer on-boarding materials
Prep for and participate in industry analyst discussions (briefings, inquiries, strategy sessions) to increase awareness and solidify our positioning
Participate as a subject matter expert in marketing activities and events
Establish relationships with key influencers
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in vertical or B2B marketing with a strong skill set and understanding of product marketing principles
Strong sense of teamwork and the ability to work cross-functionally (product management, sales, customer support, etc.) to obtain consensus on launch strategies and go-to-market plans
Proven track record developing core messaging, positioning, and value proposition materials to both business and consumer buyers
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Technical proficiency to partner with product management and influence the product direction
Must be a quick study and be able to quickly shift focus from strategy to execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with industry analysts
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
BA/BS required; MBA a plus
