Shotfarm is well on its way to solving a $5B retail industry problem by centralizing the exchange of product content (images, videos, descriptions, and specifications) between retailers and manufacturers. Since its release in 2010, adoption of our platform has topped 7,500 retail companies and continues to double each year. 


We seek an analytics-driven marketing team contributor who will develop, own, and execute a strategic online program that identifies opportunities to improve Shotfarm’s retail and manufacturing keyword search activity at each stage of the customer engagement and acquisition funnel. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial professional who understands the changing nature of a high-growth startup organization and thrives in this type of environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define, manage, and execute both on-site and off-site SEM / SEO /SMO activities
  • Collaborate with external and internal marketing managers, content manager, freelance writing resources, and other contributors in creating high-quality content centered around defined and relevant keywords and terms
  • Manage goal-driven organic and paid search engine performance against such metrics as site impressions, clickthrough rates, website traffic, and conversions
  • Perform ongoing keyword research to optimize existing content and to help drive development of future content
  • Perform ongoing website and web page analysis and updating
  • Define and execute link building program
  • Monitor and evaluate web analytics across search channels and make recommendations for improvement
  • Communicate program strategy, tactics, timeline, and results to Shotfarm team
  • Stay abreast of SEM, SEO, social media, and general online marketing trends and best practices

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years B2B SEM / SEO / SMO experience
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate program ideas, strategies, and tactics
  • Thorough knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors and key algorithm updates
  • Passion for, and deep understanding of, SEM / SEO / PPC program development, execution, and best practices
  • Experience working with popular keyword tools (Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc.)
  • Experience working with CMS and building/administering content in multiple CMS environments
  • Creative and strategic thinker and doer with innate ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration
  • MAC and PC proficiency including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with website analysis and analytics tool proficiency including Google Analytics and other internal reporting tools
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo) platforms
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task in an ever-changing startup environment
  • Ability to offer creative ideas with which to engage our audiences at every stage of the sales cycle
