About The Role

Yello’s Marketing Department is looking to add a talented & driven content writer to own the success of the blog and help build our content strategy. The Senior Content Writer will write and help distribute content (blogs and social posts) for channels including blog, social media, ppc and website content. You will be working closely with the Director of Marketing and a Senior Content Specialist, along with a nimble team of freelance writers to raise the visibility of Yello’s brand.

How You'll Make An Impact

Content Planning & Creation

  • Primarily responsible for development of blog content, blog engagement & SEO presence
  • Write highly engaging blog posts that resonate with & grow our audience
  • Concept & draft high-engagement content (social surveys, blogs, social posts)
  • Contribute to a list of click-worthy content topics based on industry trends, client challenges, tech innovations for freelancers to draft

Content Distribution

  • Contribute Social Posts to help distribute content & add personality to social sites: LinkedIn, G+, FB, Twitter, etc
  • Post relevant and engaging content based on the content calendar and trending topics
  • Help create polls, contests & other high-engagement content
  •  All team members are responsible for staying up-to-date on best-in-class social trends & strategy
  • Engage Influencers to broaden exposure of content to new audiences, create links back to content on Yello’s website or blog, raise awareness of the Yello brand among thought leaders, influencers and potential custom

Employee Advocacy / Marketing Ambassador

  • Communicate out to all internal teams any new content assets & remind where to find existing content.
  • Incentivize employees to share with their networks
  • Ensure enterprise teams are utilizing and aware of existing marketing resources

Public Relations / Awards / Awareness

  • Support any content needs for industry-award applications, press releases and awareness campaigns

Measurement of Success:

  • # of Traffic to blog
  • # of Mentions from influencers

What We're Looking For

  • Include blog and social post samples, along with resume
  • Experience creating best-in-class social posts and highly engaging social profiles
  • Bring interesting, cutting-edge ways to connect using social and influencer relations
  • Able to interpret often complicated or industry-specific information and translate into digestible content
  • Must be HTML-familiar
  • Excellent organizational skills and militant attention to details; able to maintain consistency across multiple project
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; excited to work across teams and department
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment, where rapid iteration is encouraged
  • Experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or Campus Recruitment Industries HIGHLY DESIREABLE
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, press relations, journalism, advertising, marketing or related field ideal
  • Must be able to sit or stand for continuous periods of time
