About the Role

Civis Analytics is seeking a highly-organized, detail-oriented Sr. Events Marketing Manager to join its team. In this role, you will plan and execute all the moving pieces involved in successful conference attendance and hosted client events. This role is responsible for ensuring Civis’s event strategy aligns to the company’s overall marketing objectives, and includes: event strategy and goals, target audience and key messages; event design; event lead generation; pre- and post-show communications planning; vendor management; on-site logistics; budget, invoice and expense management; and alignment/coordination with internal stakeholders and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day planning and execution of corporate and client facing events, industry conferences and trade shows, including pre- and post-event communications and attendee management
• Negotiate and execute contracts for both large and small scale events
• Collaborate across departments to contribute to meeting design, agenda development, brand building, and event communications and marketing
• Partner with marketing, communications, product, sales and leadership to develop strategies leveraging Civis products, messaging, and content to promote events and tradeshows
• Provide consistent and clear communication of events program to all stakeholders, including internal briefing documents for specific events and conferences
• Work alongside the Marketing team to design, document, and execute innovative multi-channel marketing programs for Civis events
• Effectively lead multiple events simultaneously including strategy, planning, logistics, and implementation
• Manage across stakeholder groups, including executive, sales, and other internal teams to ensure goals and deliverables are successfully met
• Problem solve in situations where unforeseen circumstances arise at the last minute
• Some travel will be required

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
• Excels at project management, developing schedules, task/people assignments, anticipates and adjusts for opportunities, problems and roadblocks
• Perficient in the event lead process - including creation of a targeted strategy on how to drive leads per event, plus pre- and post-event communication
• Able to calmly manage across audiences of all levels
• Self-starter with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Experience at a technology company or start-up preferred but not required
• 8-10+ years experience in event management
• BA/BS required
