We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead the creation, execution, analysis, and optimization of our SEO initiatives. This role requires a data-driven self-starter who can support existing SEO tactics & roadmap, while developing new strategies to drive incremental SEO growth. Wyzant relies heavily on business intelligence, analytics and A/B testing, as well as regular qualitative research. Our teams embrace a collaborative philosophy, but are still nimble enough to move quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, own and execute SEO strategies & roadmap
  • Own SEO performance and KPIs (SEO Traffic, New Student Growth, Revenue)
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to get important SEO work scoped and prioritized and communicate all relevant information
  • Use analytics platforms and SEO tools to monitor, analyze, and optimize website activity and traffic trends
  • Ability to review our reporting while keeping one eye on the release logs for our product and engineering teams to spot issues as they arise
  • Focused, daily attention to our SEO trends and KPIs and identify opportunities to improve our SEO
  • Keep abreast of macro SEO changes – algo updates, industry trends, best practices – and have a point of view on their impact for us 
  • Create solutions and make recommendations to react to changes in either our data, or from the macro level
  • Be consulted on SEO implications for testing or changes planned by product and engineering
  • Produce high-level keyword analysis while tracking, managing and distributing daily and weekly organic traffic and ranking reports



Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of optimizing search for consumer internet brands
  • Self-starter and proven track record of hitting company performance goals
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data & insights to make data-driven decisions and SEO optimizations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, positive attitude, drive and collaborative spirit
  • A true passion for SEO and keeping up with the latest SEO industry trends & resources
  • Experience conducting data-driven SEO site audits and familiarity with the tools of the trade
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and products such as Google Analytics, STAT, Botify, Omniture, SEO rank tracking and page analysis tools, and keyword research tools
  • Working understanding of HTML, CSS, and SQL
