In this newly created “enterprise in-house SEO” role, the Outreach Specialist contributes to the organic search engine optimization of Cars.com consumer properties. Working under the mentorship of the Offsite SEO Manager, this role is responsible for the growth of backlink acquisition for Cars.com and owned properties to improve the site's search rank. Workload includes identifying a target audience, contacting content creators and tracking efforts as needed. The specialist will be required to report on link growth (content outreach, link placement opportunities), optimization (portfolio cleanup, placement optimization), and competitive analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform email outreach to content creators
• Build outreach email lists for content promotion campaigns
• Help brainstorm content ideas with outreach and PR potential
• Track contact outreach efforts in detail
• Maintain positive relationships with content creators
• Research and test new link building tactics
• Report on progress to internal stakeholders

Required Skills:

• 1+ years' experience in sales/marketing/SEO or related field
• Top-level internet research skills & ability to navigate social networks
• Excellent written and persuasive communication skills 
• Knack for relationship-building and contact management
• Task-oriented and strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Basic understanding of search engine optimization and how backlink portfolios impact SEO efforts
• Previous experience conducting backlink outreach campaigns
