To support our bold ambitions, GoHealth is searching for a Social Media Manager to lead our social media strategy, publish highly engaging content, and moderate / facilitate responses to comments on external social media sites. In this brand marketing role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to own your practice area from start to finish.

As a strategist, you’ll match business opportunities with social media campaign ideas. You’ll define the purpose of each platform, build GoHealth’s follower audience, and publish stories to influence reputation, consideration, and drive traffic to brand properties. You’ll create social media content, and partner with writers and designers to design engagement campaigns specifically for social media platforms. Finally, you’ll define and track success metrics to gauge your impact on social media engagement, organic / social influenced leads, brand visibility, and community sentiment.

In this role, you will work with brand leadership to develop a strategy, write/create material yourself, and moderate comments on organic and paid social media posts. For more complex projects, you will partner with our in-house multimedia production team and GoHealth subject matter experts. The ideal candidate is passionate about helpful, thriving social communities, has an ability to make complex topics easier to understand.

Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of organic social across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn; support aspects of other communities including Glassdoor and YouTube
  • Create our social media strategy, including creating distinct goals and executional considerations where B2C, B2B, and B2E audiences overlap
  • Develop and manage a master posting calendar for all brand social properties
  • Oversee creation of copy, graphics, videos and other assets to publish – a combination of creating them yourself and utilizing our internal designers and writers
  • Schedule content and ensure comments are responded to within Sprout Social
  • Define and measure KPIs across channels that impact the business and brand
  • Activate SEO articles, research studies, press releases, thought leadership, and other brand stories; ensuring each piece is appropriately framed for social audiences
  • Implement social media programs to drive organic traffic and lead generation impact
  • Drive adoption of social media at key touchpoints in the member journey; and define and promote constructive ways for GoHealth employees and leaders to get involved
  • Partner with marketing peers to grow followers organically and launch paid fanning campaigns to grow social following
  • Engage members to share content and endorse GoHealth among their networks
  • Engage prospective and current employees to showcase job openings and culture
  • Explore and recommend new sites for GoHealth to leverage (e.g. Nextdoor)
  • Develop a set of social guidelines which align with brand tone / voice and aesthetics
  • Support other business units including public relations and strategic partnerships
  • Develop a constructive relationship with our legal team to mitigate risk
  • Foster strong relationships with internal SMEs, including our Chief Medical Officer, to build authority and leverage our experts to engage and educate audiences
  • Partner across marketing to showcase member testimonials and success stories
  • Implement ways to track impact from social media shares and investments
  • Recommend new ways to leverage social proof to deliver business value
  • Summarize key themes from social listening and recommend actions, if applicable
  • Other social media and brand reputation duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience with several years of proven experience managing social media for direct-to-consumer brand(s)
  • Solid understanding of social media marketing and proven record of execution at scale for a well-recognized brand
  • Strong written communication skills including grammar, syntax, and spelling abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to execute on a plan

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Advertising
  • Experience in a direct response marketing environment
  • Familiarity with word of mouth or earned media concepts
  • A strong desire to understand health insurance or Medicare, and seniors
