Sr. Director of Global Marketing Operations

Starting with residential real estate, where 8% of all homes sold in the US last year had a Matterport 3D tour, the company has changed how people experience physical spaces. Our product offering is selling exponentially in new markets like apartment and vacation rentals, hotels, event venues, insurance, retail environments, as well as architecture, engineering, and construction.
We have an end-to-end system for crafting, experiencing, and changing cloud-based immersive 3D models of real spaces. Our product suite improves the way people experience and visualize physical spaces making it incredibly fun and practical for users to move through real world spaces as if they were there.

Matterport is seeking a Senior Director of Global Marketing Operations for its rapidly scaling business. As a leader on the Global Marketing team, you will be responsible for driving effectiveness and efficiency within the marketing organization through technology and best practice processes. You will lead the setup, execution, maintenance and continuous improvement of processes for marketing programs, and shape marketing automation, planning/budgeting, and technology platforms necessary for marketing to deliver results in a fast-paced, global environment. You will coordinate and streamline communications working with the CMO to keep the executive team, board of directors, and execution/operational teams aligned in lockstep. The ideal candidate has the complete package – highly organized, results-oriented, passionate about operations, and strong attention to detail – with 8-10 years of marketing experience in the tech, media, SaaS, or CAD/CAM/Imaging world.


  • Design, develop and maintain core marketing operations processes to support collaboration and communication throughout the marketing, sales, design, product, and operations teams
  • Enable planning and programming processes to ensure a coordinated offense across varied marketing channels, geographies, and customer journey experiences
  • Design, develop, train and maintain marketing processes to enable consistent program execution throughout marketing teams across the globe
  • Be the operational expert on data-driven marketing, program management and core marketing technology platform
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing technology operations team to manage all marketing technology platforms to their fullest potential
  • Track and deliver critical marketing operational projects on time
  • Support the collection and aggregation of marketing budget and spend to ensure proper tracking and attribution


  • 8-10 years of marketing operations experience in the tech, media, SaaS, or CAD/CAM/Imaging world
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team in these settings.
  • Experience communicating with and setting expectations for senior C-level executives
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM systems, project management, and marketing programming best practices
  • Demonstrated managerial maturity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven history of project leadership and positive results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities, plus ability to ‘roll-up-sleeves’ and ‘get into the weeds’ in a startup environment.
  • Important to be able to shift from high-level strategic priorities down to execution details and back with relative ease
  • Experience managing budgets, reporting and gleaning insights from data to improve the performance of marketing programs
  • Functional understanding of the interplay between marketing and other functions, including sales, field marketing, product, digital, e-commerce, supply chain, vertical industries including Real Estate, AEC, Travel & Hospitality. Knowledge of IP / legal, contracts and negotiations also highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Technology, Media or a related discipline
  • Work experience and/or specific certifications and training in modern Performance Marketing Operations best practices valued equally with MBA Marketing or another advanced degree.

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and passion to drive without hand-holding
