The opportunity:

The UX/UI Experience Designer is responsible for helping define the strategy for delivering meaningful user experiences, and how they are best delivered to support our global financial services brands. We are in search of someone who can learn our global design system, be an advocate for our Northern Masterbrand, bring an approach to create and support user experience project plans, and work closely with our client-partner delivery teams through the development and execution of that vision and plan. This role is positioned in the Global Corporate Marketing Department and is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities, serving our organization, clients, and partners.

Who you are:

We're looking for a Designer who has experience in creating smart, effective, engaging and visually appealing user experiences. A team member who is passionate, results-oriented and a strong design-led, conceptual thinker. Someone who is skilled at communicating tactical and strategic design choices and recommendations to clients and internal teams. Someone who is communicative, organized and a mix of left and right brain thinking!

What you'll do:

  • Be the "voice of the customer," representing user needs in product design decisions - serve as subject matter expert who brings UX thinking to the overall marketing communications process.
  • Foster a collaborative and learning environment by partnering with stakeholders and facilitating design decisions to optimize for the user experience while balancing interests within technology, marketing, business, and executive partners.
  • Work closely with our core global standards team, our design, delivery, and analytics teams, and collaborate with our marketing product teams.
  • Create UX artifacts, such as interaction models, task flows, personas, wireframes, site maps and user/functional requirements that are relevant to the project.
  • Create UI deliverables that are development-ready designs aligned to product specifications.
  • Lead creative input sessions, client presentations, status updates and other meetings needed to support digital design projects.

What you'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, UX Design, Industrial or Product Design and 3-5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with graphic design. Proficiency with front end UI technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.) and current technologies.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Creative Cloud apps, Sketch, Keynote, InVision, Figma and other wire-framing and prototyping tools (Axure, Bootstrap, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, easily adaptable, exceptionally organized, strong presentation skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong design/creative portfolio and online presence expertise.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change.

Nice to haves:

  • You do not need to have extensive financial industry knowledge for this role, but experience in working with XF teams and services is preferred.
  • Background in Information Systems, Web Development, Interactive Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field is preferred.
