About the Role
We are looking for a VP of Marketing to lead our marketing department and oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies for the organization. This primarily involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the company's market presence and help it find a "voice." Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing long-term marketing goals and plans for marketing features within the product.
Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, and performance manages the marketing department.
• Directs and implements the organizations advertising and promotional activities.
• Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
• Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
• Maintains knowledge on emerging products and services.
• Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
• Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the departments operating budget.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in the freight/logistics industry is a must - particularly experience in FTL freight

• Experience in software/SaaS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of market developments.
• Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Experience with long-range planning.
• Proven experience in a marketing leadership position.
