We are searching for a Compliance Consultant- Sanctions to join our Global Economics Sanctions Compliance Team. This partner is responsible for overseeing the review, interpretation, and dissemination of current and proposed sanctions laws and regulations and provide consultation and advice to partners regarding Compliance risk avoidance. This role will also establish business development strategies to minimize sanctions risk and assure compliance with applicable sanctions laws and regulation.

Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Advises business partners, including senior management, on sanctions compliance programs and applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards, including keeping them informed of sanctions developments or changes that may affect their area by monitoring and identifying sanctions regulatory change
  • Participates in developing and enhancing the Sanctions Compliance programs and acts as a contact point within the company for Sanctions Compliance inquiries from partners.
  • Participates in establishing written guidance on the appropriate implementation of Sanctions Compliance programs and laws, regulations, rules and standards, through policies and procedures and other documents, such as Compliance manuals, internal codes of conduct and practice guidelines.
  • Provides a review and analysis of complex sanctions escalations from various business units 6. Identifies, measures, and documents sanctions Compliance risk by reviewing sanctions Compliance risk assessments and assessing the company's sanctions risk profile and efficacy of the sanctions Compliance procedures and guidelines.
  • Identifies situations which may pose significant sanctions Compliance risk and guides management in developing policies and/or procedures that minimize risk.
  • Interacts with business partners, regulators, and internal and external auditors on sanctions regulatory topics.
  • Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of Compliance risk avoidance.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert or other resource within a group for regulatory Compliance matters.

Qualifications

The successful partner should have:

  • 5 +years of experience, in financial services compliance or risk management; or equivalent related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Analytical and communication skills are necessary to consult with and communicate information to partners/clients; to analyze and summarize information and to apply laws and regulations to the Company's business.
  • Economic sanctions experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk management and the Company's strategic goals, preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable sanctions laws and regulations, acquired through formal education and work experience, is preferred.
