What's the Role?

We are currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Director of Internal Audit to join our innovative and passionate team.
 

The Director of Internal Audit has the responsibility of supporting the EVP of Audit & Strategy in overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of the Internal Audit function. This includes the oversight of examination, evaluation, and verification of both operational and IT audits. This oversight includes assisting in audit planning and overall governance of the audit function.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor internal audits and special reviews in accordance with the internal audit plan.
  • Coordinate the determination of scope of audit reviews in conjunction with the EVP of Audit & Strategy.
  • Coordinate the preparation and performance of the internal audit cycle, at the direction of the EVP of Audit & Strategy
  • Coordinate risk assessments of assigned department or functional areas in established / required time line.
  • Reviews audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
  • Reviews ad-hoc audit work or special projects.
  • Must adhere to company policies, procedures, as well as professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • At least one of the following certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and / or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – or working to achieve
  • A minimum of 7 years audit experience is required, as well as one or more relevant professional certifications.
  • Knowledge of: COSO / COBIT control framework; Risk identification, mitigation, and reporting; and, NIST information security standards, are preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ITGC best practices
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley related requirements
  • Prior experience in performance of Risk Assessments resulting in multi-year, risk based, internal audit plan
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision, but also be able to work closely with other team members
  • Ability to innovate and/or think outside of the box to enhance the internal audit function
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with senior and executive management.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ensure adequate focus on personal professional growth of audit team members, in accordance with standard audit career progression.
  • Communicates assigned tasks to audit team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results.
  • Manages internal auditors assigned to internal audits by providing guidance and overall review of deliverables.
  • Monitor internal audit resources are appropriate, sufficient, and effectively deployed to achieve the approved plan.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to work on computer for long periods of time in a typical office environment
