This position is responsible to architect commercially viable solutions for the domain specialism to enable the business to drive sales and productivity performance improvements. The domain architect will architect IT assets, supporting the solutions team, by shaping IT initiatives and identifying the strategic direction for the overall technology components and integration strategy within their domain. Monitoring adherence to Arch frameworks, develop and deliver the solution architecture in projects and ensure completeness and integrity of the architecture in terms of application, integration, information, infrastructure, security and service operations.

• Oversees the delivery of new and highly complex high-quality solutions in response to unique business requirements.

• Analyzes business requirements and the selection of technical solutions in very large complex, leading edge projects and formulates technical solutions to very large, complex and leading-edge requirements.

•  Applies professional mastery to develop key/pivotal IT solutions in leading edge or critical situations, on projects / engagements / proposals for assigned domains and of strategic significance within Peapod or Ahold globally.

• As a key team leader or working independently, technically directs and advises other professionals and is responsible for the success of the leading edge of critical solution construction, implementation, and system integration.

• Oversees the delivery of new and highly complex high-quality solutions in response to unique business requirements.

• Influences senior Peapod business personnel, including senior executive management, when issues are unique, complex and difficult.

• Fosters and engages in teamwork at the highest management and technical levels.

• Responsible for the architecture of business solutions developed by solution delivery teams.
• Translates business requirements into operating unit IT domain architecture solution architecture deliverables - in close cooperation with the solutions organization
• Reviews the IT solution design for major applications and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures

The Essentials in Your Cart - The required ingredients 

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline) a related discipline
• Master degree in similar field of study preferred
• 5 to 10 years IT experience
• 5+ years Architecture or equivalent experience required
• Demonstrated extensive experience communicating technical information to business clients, including executives, and less experienced technologists.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance and leadership to development teams.
• Extensive experience translating business requirements into architectural deliverables and technical specifications.
• Extensive experience with design patterns, object diagrams, and modeling methodologies (i.e. unified modeling language, UML).
