As a Evening Fraud and Risk Operations Agent you'll straddle both the Risk and Customer Support teams at Venmo. You’ll handle all customer communications regarding ongoing risk cases, analyze transactions and approve or decline based on assessed risk to the company. You’ll walk the fine line between mitigating loss for the company, while still providing a stellar user experience.

Responsibilities

• Field support requests from our users, specializing in risk cases.
• Work with users to verify activity and mitigate loss.
• Analyze accounts and specific transactions for possible fraud. Decision accordingly.
• Continually monitor cases and reports to identify trends and notify management of information gleaned from that activity.
• Act as a liaison between Customer Service reps and Risk teams.
• Assist Customer Service reps to handle certain risk cases in an effort to provide faster, more convenient support for our user.

Requirements:

• Must be a self-starter and self-learner. Those that require a playbook need not apply.
• 2+ years experience in a role that put you in direct contact with consumers.
• An eye for detail. You must be able to spot small anomalies that could indicate larger issues.
• Someone who enjoys a fast paced yet fun working environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Comfortable with a flexible work schedule.
