Network Consultant

We are looking for a motivated self-starter that wants to grow as we grow. As a Network Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure client success and support with Azure. You will be responsible to help with the analysis, design, planning and support of infrastructure and networking solutions in Azure, and other related technologies. The role is a technical client-facing role that will be accountable for the client cloud experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in client-facing roles and have success leading technical discussions and drive key decisions and implementation.

A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation, and support of cloud solutions, and exhibit superior communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a 3Cloud Azure Networking Consultant, will assist in design, support and work with our Architects and Managed Services to deploy and support Azure-based solutions that exactly meet our client’s needs.

• Ability to understand the business needs and propose a technology solution that addresses the associated requirements
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate at multiple levels of a mid-size to enterprise-level organization
• Ability to work equally as effective independently or in a team environment
• Assist the Managed Services team with customer support tickets for the Network environment, including problem isolation and resolution of network problems through troubleshooting and devising effective
• Assist sales and consulting team in driving new opportunities and educating clients on applicable technology solutions
• In a Microsoft Azure cloud environment, plans, evaluates, coordinates, tests, installs and successfully implements new and existing hardware and software across physical media, protocol stacks, switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection devices, and other network components
• Proposes solutions to management that meet communication requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings
• Ability to shift priorities as needed and function in a highly dynamic environment
• Have a strong aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies and can provide meaningful technical feedback to network engineering groups

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands on consulting or relevant technical experience implementing and supporting diverse network environments
• Advanced understanding of network protocols/services and network infrastructures
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written skills to develop technical documentation
• Performs network management functions such as network monitoring, maintenance, performance measurement and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate should have advanced skills with implementing / certifications in three or more of the following areas:

• Network Security / Firewall
• Load balancers
• SD-WAN
• Packet Capture and interpretation
• Network performance monitoring and optimization
• VPN – IPSEC / SSL
• Switching
• Routing
• Strong network scripting abilities (Powershell, Perl, Python, etc.)

• CCNP or equivalent experience
• Cisco VoIP – Unified Communications, Call Manager / Call Manager Express
• Citrix NetScaler
• Storage Networking

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating and deploying Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile (SAFe, Scrum) frameworks
• Hybrid cloud experience
• Experience with Wireless networking
• Experience with Azure, or IBM Cloud
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS regulatory compliance
