Network Support Engineer

We are looking for a motivated self-starter that wants to grow as we grow. Our Managed Services team is looking for a Network Support Engineer. The role’s primary responsibility will be to ensure client success and support with Azure. You will be responsible to help with supporting client’s environments in Azure. The role is a technical client-facing role that will be accountable for the client cloud experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting IT infrastructure with either a managed services team or internal corporate IT Team.

A successful candidate for this position will demonstrate proficiency in supporting networks using Infrastructure as a Service within Azure, AWS, GCP, or a private cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a 3Cloud Managed Services Azure Network Support Engineer, you will work with our clients to resolve issues they have with the networking services deployed in Azure, review design documents and install and configure new services accordingly, work with the Managed Services team on supporting other technologies as needed, and assist the professional services consultants with network related project work.

  • Support and resolve issues for Managed Services Clients networking IaaS, including routing, switching, network security groups, firewalls, load balancers
  • Deploy any of the network services outlined above
  • Deliver service excellence by meeting or exceeding Service Level Objectives/Service Level Agreements (SLO/SLA) in responding to and resolving client issues
  • Escalate issues to Microsoft Premier Support and work issues to resolution with them
  • Assist the professional services consultants with installation and configuration of network services for client projects
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate at multiple levels of a mid-size to enterprise-level organization
  • Ability to work equally as effective independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to shift priorities as needed and function in a highly dynamic environment
  • Have a strong aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies and can provide meaningful technical feedback to network engineering groups
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 3-5 years of hands on support or relevant technical experience implementing and supporting diverse network environments in IaaS. Experience in managed services or professional services environment preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of network protocols/services and network infrastructures
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written skills to develop technical documentation
  • Performs network management functions such as network monitoring, maintenance, performance measurement and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate should have advanced skills with implementing three or more of the following services:

  • Network Security / Firewall
  • Load balancers
  • SD-WAN
  • Packet Capture and interpretation
  • Network performance monitoring and optimization
  • Switching
  • Routing
  • Strong network scripting abilities (Powershell, Perl, Python, etc.)

Additional Qualifications a plus:

  • CCNP or equivalent experience
  • Cisco VoIP – Unified Communications, Call Manager / Call Manager Express
  • Citrix NetScaler
  • Storage Networking
  • Windows Server
  • VMware
  • Azure / AWS


  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • VMWare Certified Associate (VCA)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience creating and deploying IaaS using scripts
  • Familiarity with ITIL
  • Hybrid cloud experience
  • Experience with Wireless networking
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or IBM Cloud
