What We Are Looking For:

Working closely with the Director of IT and the rest of the IT team, the Systems Administrator is responsible for creating standards and monitoring compliance of information systems, as well as monitoring the stability and security of IDx’s server and network infrastructure. Specific functions include:

  • Creating, testing, modifying, and implementing scripts for automating daily tasks
  • Maintaining, optimizing, and monitoring secure computer networks on a global scale with multiple locations
  • Managing core Microsoft technologies like AD and Group Policy,
  • Assisting in scaling core elements of IT systems in a constantly expanding organization
  • System administration in Windows and Linux Environments
  • Maintaining auditable records and inventories and participating in security audits

IDx is a medical device company and ISO13485 compliant, this means that most systems and network administration activities fall under the IDx quality management system. Such an environment requires high attention to detail and an organized and dependable personality.

You’ll be expected to learn new technologies quickly, have more responsibility, and oversee a wider range of systems than at most companies. Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field 
  • 5+ years as a Systems/network admin and/or Systems Analyst
  • Skills in computer networking fundamentals and server administration
  • High attention to detail, especially relating to information security
  • Applicants must not now or in the future need IDx to sponsor an immigration case for employment (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration cases).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Affinity for Linux and scripting languages such as Powershell or Python
  • Excellent computer networking skills with an emphasis on security and optimization
  • Experience in regulated IT environments or with the following compliance standards: ISO, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR and HITRUST
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills as necessary with minimal oversight
  • Desire and willingness to take ownership of projects or create systems or documentation where none exist
  • Experience in Microsoft AD and Group Policy
  • Experience with security/encryption technologies
  • Experience with cloud technology
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • AWS, Azure, and Salesforce 
  • Sonicwall and Cisco network hardware and VPN services
  • High Performance Computing using Nvidia GPUs
  • Fundus and OCT Cameras
  • MySQL / MSSQL

Additional Considerations:
