Systems Administrator
As our Systems Administrator, you will support Daxko/Club Automation's internal and application systems and users. You will support team members’ IT needs, managing technical projects, and managing vendor relationships on behalf of Daxko/Club Automation. To thrive in this role, you must have strong personal management skills, a good personality, a team-player mentality, and represent a strong sense of ownership to others both inside and outside of Daxko/Club Automation.
If you require a lot of direction and supervision, this is NOT the role for you. Instead, you must demonstrate the ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects, and execute the work to completion. Each day will bring new challenges and could include everything from working with vendors to determine the best long-term solution for our internal and development servers to tracking hardware. Hence, both strategic and tactical skills are a must.
You'll be responsible for...
- Management of Daxko/Club Automation's internal/application servers and network, which includes:
- Installing, configuring, updating and maintaining server software/hardware
- Installing security patches
- Monitoring network services and system capacity (CPU, memory, disk space, etc.)
- Managing and configuring VMware environments
- Managing user accounts
- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution of infrastructure issues
- Assessing IT system efficiency and making recommendations to improve performance and cost
- Establishing and maintaining hardware inventory tracking process
- Maintaining and creating IT drawings and documentation
- Acting as tier 2 helpdesk support when required
What You Must Have:
- Minimum two years’ experience managing IT projects, systems and end users
- Prior responsibility for the following:
- Microsoft Exchange
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Windows (XP, Windows 7, Server 2003, and Server 2008)
- Linux (end user and server)
- VMWare Virtual Infrastructure, vCenter
- Cisco networking technology
- VoIP phone systems
- Storage experience with SAN, backup and recovery, etc.
- Knowledge of the interworking of ASP.Net and IIS
- A passion for learning, comfortable with constant change, and a willingness to offer ideas
- Strong project/personal management skills
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, autonomous environment
- Ability to manage third party vendors
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience managing hardware and software purchases
- Ability to work constructively with the different personalities of the team
What Will Place You Ahead of the Pack:
- Scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, PERL, Ruby, etc. a plus
- Knowledge of Mac OS is a plus
- Technical degree is a plus but not required
- Scripting, configuration management and automation
