CONNECT TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT LEAD, CHICAGO

YOU’LL BUILD TECH THAT EMPOWERS GLOBAL BUSINESSES

Our Connect Technology teams are working on our new Connect platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on Connect data and insights to innovate and grow.

As a Support Lead, you’ll be part of a team of highly skilled support technologists who are passionate about ensuring that our applications SLA’s are met. We are proactively automating, building, and implementing services( monitoring and alerting) to make the applications reliable. We continue to adopt the best of the breed in automation, cloud-native, CI/CD in everything that we develop. Our teams are located with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, and Chennai. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Lead the support of Answers on Demand suite of applications that is on prem and cloud.

  • Ensure all SLA's are met, interact with Operations, client services teams, and technology leaders to provide the best experience and service.

  • Address support escalation issues and mature systems to ensure fewer critical incidents in production.

  • Optimizing on-call rotations, processes, update runbooks, tools and documentation to help prepare teams for future incidents. Conducting post-incident reviews (RCA).

WE’RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE: 

  • Strong fundamentals and interest in application support, infrastructure knowledge with a software engineering background..

  • Experience with leading team, site reliability engineering practices. 

  • Familiarity in technology areas like UNIX scripting, automation tools, cloud, API management, database, monitoring tools, infrastructure services, etc., 

  • 10+ years in technical support or related areas with experience in team handling.

  • Sound SDLC skills, preferably with experience in an agile environment 

  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business 

  • Functional knowledge of Market research, FMCG industry, and big data is a plus. 

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
