JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Purpose:

Provide expertise and support for specific product line initiatives related to product development, compliance, operational and process improvements, claims management, vendor management, product documentation, fulfillment, and/or system releases. Proactively identifies problems, analyzes them, recommends solution alternatives, and leads projects for specific product line initiatives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead product line initiatives including plan development, scheduling and coordinating team member deliverables, monitoring implementation progress, and adjusting when goals are not being met
  • Anticipate potential problems, develop contingencies and solution alternatives, and recommend a solution with consideration of resources, prioritization and financial impact
  • Communicate effectively throughout the organization to successfully influence project scope, design and outcome
  • Ensure all products developed for marketing are filed and approved to comply with all applicable laws and regulations at the state and federal levels
  • Construct persuasive arguments and/or revise contract language to overcome objections and secure prompt regulatory approvals
  • Inform, influence, and drive key product and operational initiatives that make for a better user experience and create meaningful business value
  • Use a well-rounded approach to determine how changing business and industry needs will affect systems and business processes; provide ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the Rent Manager software
  • Participate in discussions and interact with product users to fully understand their business processes and work environment
  • Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements and build consensus to move the product forward
  • Work with the technical team to drive, challenge, and ensure the technical solution is a quality solution that will meet the needs of our customers
  • Influence and build relationships with people across all levels of the organization, internally and externally

 

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the  insurance industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving skills including the ability to analyze problems and create effective recommendations
  • Possess very strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with business and technical resources
  • Ability to learn new applications and systems
  • Ability to process complex data from multiple sources
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organization skills, and timeliness in order to meet business expectations
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, adhere to aggressive project deadlines, and adapt to change
  • Works independently with little supervision but also a good team player
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Ability to manage and develop others
