Job Duties
Associate Directors, Product Development for Chicago, IL location. Act as a technology leader, manage and oversee the development of state-of-the-art, customer facing, business to business software product solutions and their delivery to market. Direct a staff of software development, quality assurance and business analyst professionals. Make decisions regarding software engineering and development, and serve as a thought leader in architecting, designing, implementing & deploying software products, as well as a people leader providing employee coaching, mentoring and recruiting of talent. Develop and implement strategies for improving speed of the revenue capabilities of product development, including cost management practices (productivity and efficiencies), and alignment of products and solutions with business goals. Oversee and direct the development of product lines, so that they scale significantly to meet the demands of customers. Develop systems prototypes and test these new software applications, and assess competitive positioning. Establish quality methodologies, metrics, and standards for tracking and improving SDLC agility and productivity. Responsible for oversight and direction of all technical approaches. Coordinate with market segments, major external customers, and peer leadership within the products & technology organization. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering plus three years of experience in the job offered or with software development required. Skills Required: Open Source Framework, Java, J2EE, Oracle Application Server 10G/11G, EJB, XML, JAXB, SQL, JDBC, JSP, AJAX, JSF, Struts, UNIX/LINUX, Rules Engines (Drools), Eclipse, JDeveloper, Clearcase, Maven, ANT, Continuous Integration (Hudson/Jenkins), Agile, JUNit, Spring/Hibernate (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or in software development also acceptable.)
