Groupon’s mission is to become the daily habit in local commerce and fulfill our purpose of building strong communities through thriving small businesses by connecting people to a vibrant, global marketplace for local services, experiences and goods. In the process, we’re positively impacting the lives of millions of customers and merchants globally. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. If you want to take more ownership of your career, then you're ready to be part of Groupon.

At Groupon, our Product Managers work with designers, developers and senior management to invent new features and experiences. This role is both technical and business facing and you should be analytical, creative and comfortable driving strategy, leading meetings, and developing a team. If you’re passionate about consumer products, algorithms, and analytics, this is the place to be! Groupon’s culture is a hybrid between the feel and impact opportunity of a startup, with the assets of a public company.

As Director of Product, Supply and Merchant Intelligence, you will build an amazing portfolio of incredible merchants on Groupon. You'll be responsible for the success of hundreds of thousands of small to large businesses Groupon works with every single day. You will innovate on sophisticated machine learning powered systems that choose the merchants that bring delight to our customers while ensuring the merchants in our marketplace are engaged and successful. You will inspire a team of product managers that cut across 5 major verticals, and you’ll interact daily with senior leadership as well as best-in-class engineering, design, and data science counterparts.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap to shape supply on Groupon’s marketplace and excite the best merchants around the world.

  • Develop strategies to deepen Groupon’s relationship with merchants and ensure that we continue to be an essential partner for their business.

  • Partner with a world-class data science team to build cutting-edge machine learning models to solve some of e-commerce's most challenging problems

  • Obsess about the productivity of our sales team and the efficiency of our supply portfolio

  • Lead a strong global product team dedicated to creating solutions with global impact

  • Collaborate with vertical general managers, global leaders, and cross-functional teams to release products that create awesome value with novel implementations

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience in technology organizations.

  • 3+ years leading and developing product management teams, both local and remote

  • A degree or experience in computer science, engineering, math or an equivalent strong technical discipline.

  • Excellent customer empathy & customer experience intuition; track record in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features.

  • Experience influencing and creating a culture with Engineers and UX designers to solve

  • Experience owning development of a product and working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and analytical teams to ship and iterate at breakneck speed.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to sell your vision across all levels of an organization

  • Ability to travel periodically internationally
