Support Corporate Marketing teams to define, plan and manage projects in accordance with agile and product development methodologies. Act as a servant leader and support teams to adopt and mature agile and project management best practices. Promote transparency, model and foster collaboration across teams, roles and with BU marketing partners. Support the larger agile transformation goals to increase speed to market and drive efficiency improvements through project execution. Embody a client centric mindset, lead comfortably in ambiguity and support the delivery of innovative solutions.

Operates within a cross-functional marketing design and delivery team, most commonly following the AGILE scrum methodology. The Marketing Scrum Master has leadership responsibilities for setting the agenda for the team members' priorities, with the goal of maximizing the business value the team delivers. The Marketing Scrum Master will operate primarily independently, with occasional support as required from a senior Agile Coach or Team Lead.

Responsibilities supporting the delivery and implementation of products and programs include project management, testing, conducting demonstrations, coordinating deployments, prioritizing and facilitating maintenance, and developing detailed integration plans across teams. Leveraging knowledge of the business strategy and industry trends, the product owner defines, implements, and articulates the product vision. Is responsible for adapting and evolving best practices and shaping standards to be followed within the team, and for accepting developed functionality and creative assets on behalf of the Business as fit-for-purpose to be launched in Market.

Major Duties:

  • Partners with Product Management and Business stakeholders to influence, support, and champion product vision and roadmaps
  • Remains current and well-informed on existing client requirements and expectations and industry trends that predict potential future client needs
  • Maintains a well-groomed backlog of marketing requirements and optimization items to be used for efficient implementation of projects
  • Takes a leadership role within the marketing team to foster an environment of teamwork, collaboration and enthusiasm
  • Support the definition of Key Performance Indicators and success factors
  • Develop and manage schedules, flag resource concerns
  • Remove impediments
  • Report status and metrics to stakeholders

Experience Required:

  • 9+ years relevant experience in the Financial Services industry or related Marketing/Branding agency
  • Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders about business or marketing strategy
  • Experience in change management, business requirement gathering, and/or business user acceptance roles is required, preferably as a member of an AGILE scrum team
  • Industry-recognized certification in AGILE, product ownership, product management is a plus
