What is a Product Analyst at Clearcover?
We are looking for an experienced Claims Analyst to help super-charge our claims team at Clearcover. You’ll be the point person responsible for querying and analyzing claims related data along with building reports to present findings. We’re looking for someone with strong data experience and the right combination of quantitative skills, business acumen and interpersonal skills required to develop and communicate key business insights. The position will work closely with senior leaders to identify opportunities, set objectives, and formulate analytics strategies that result in measurable impact on loss ratio and loss adjustment expense performance.

What will you do?

• Develop a deep understanding of drivers of claims operations performance and monitor critical operational measures
• Own and maintain stakeholder relationships to gather requirements, translate requirements into organized workflows and deliver actionable analysis that improves the operational performance of the claims function
• Accountable for data quality, report accuracy, model integrity, and business impact of the claims analytics function
• Maintain expert knowledge of claims operations and the property and casualty industry
• Participate in data requirements definition, analysis, mapping and testing activities 
• Promote compliant management of data and reporting directives through education and awareness efforts
• Ad hoc analysis and investigate data findings to build visually compelling reporting insights using our BI platform in support of regular meetings with stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Create and run queries by selecting data elements from the company’s data warehouse and filtering/sorting the data in order to send to requested audience
• Conduct detailed analysis of data for projects such as staffing assessments, future state workload projections and other strategic initiatives
• Assist with quality assurance by performing data cleanups 
• Analyze frequency and severity trends, processing time and other data to estimate adjuster inventory that allows development of workforce models, performance management programs and identities leading indicators of customer service problems or potential bad faith exposure

What do you need?

• You’ve worked in Claims and/or Property and Casualty insurance industry
• You’re highly analytical. You’ll have 4-6 years of experience in business analysis and reporting and possess a data-driven approach to optimize results.
• You take pride in analyzing problems and presenting visually compelling insights.
• You have multiple years experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools (Looker, Periscope, PowerBI)
• You have used SQL on a daily basis to query relational database structures.
• You have great relationship and communication skills. Experience interacting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, product manager and engineers.
• You have the ability to lead and drive initiatives with little oversight.
