What you get to do:
OppLoans is expanding our product offering and will launch a new credit card in 2021. We are looking for a passionate product leader who is excited to build a product from scratch and create creative financial solutions to an underserved customer segment. Reporting to the General Manager of Credit Card, the Product Lead for Credit Card will guide the growth and profitability metrics and oversee the details of the solution from deep in the stack through the end-user experience. Specifically, you will:
- Lead the development and launch of the credit card product by leading a large cross-functional team including Credit Risk, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and third-party vendors
- Build the credit card product strategy and roadmap including originations and servicing user experience, pricing, and rewards/loyalty to maximize value for our customers and business
- Manage KPIs including application submission rate, application submitted to credit card conversion rate, credit card holder retention, and credit card net promoter score
- Develop product roadmap through close partnership with third-party vendors, Technology/Engineering and Operations
- Manage pricing strategy and execution in close collaboration with Credit Risk and Finance to promote profitable credit card portfolio growth
- Conduct customer and competitor research to identify and design notable and creative rewards and features that solve unmet customer needs
- Build a team of product managers in the future
- Remote work friendly - work hours follow “central time zone” regardless of location
What you will bring to the team:
- 7+ years of product management and/or strategy experience; experience working with developers/engineering
- Financial services/banking experience (credit card experience) including an understanding of lending product economics and P&L drivers
- Collaborative approach and operational experience leading large cross-functional teams to achieve aggressive timelines
- People management experience preferred, you will start as an individual contributor but will become a people manager role as product growth accelerates
- Passion for solving hard problems with a structured and data-driven approach
- Entrepreneurial spirit, drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Compensation and Benefits
