The Opportunity:

Come join a driven team of Product professionals dedicated to helping customers and internal stakeholders focus on what matters. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and energetic Product Manager to join our team within our Drafting Business Unit and help push our products forward to bring them to the next level of excellence in our industry.

The Product Management team works closely with customers, prospects, partners, service, sales, and engineering teams to guide new features and products from idea to release. This includes the quantification of market needs from a demand, ROI, need, and product positioning perspective, as well as exploring user workflows to identify gaps, pain points, and where Litera exists within that lifecycle.

A Day in the Life:

  • Capture and review market data from a variety of sources:
    • Customer meetings
    • Data and usage analytics dashboards
    • Customer surveys and interviews
    • Pricing reports, reviews, and addressable market studies
    • Industry news and competitor announcements
  • Speak to and support our customers in prospecting, business review, and research meetings to understand our product impact and opportunities
  • Build initiatives and epics by telling the story of what users need and the best way of engineering a solution
  • Engage in cross-functional discussions to see how your proposed changes impact the other areas of the business
  • Update and communicate the product roadmap for your product area
  • Review release progress to see if we're on track with OKRs and delivering on our roadmap
  • Wireframe and mockup proposed solutions and show to colleagues and users to build the best possible user experience
  • Plan with Marketing and Sales teams for successful product launches and customer sales opportunities
  • Partner with our Engineering team tech leads to validate roadmap items and better understand priorities, estimates, and dependencies
  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and the best way to provide them with new solutions

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Complete new hire onboarding including eLearning courses, instructor led training, and more
  • Be trained on Litera's core values and see an overview of our solutions
  • Meet team members and review goals, initiatives, and specific objectives
  • Meet with key product stakeholders across the business
  • Have reviewed and understood the core market problems, value proposition, and features of the product areas you'll be working in
  • Understand our product roadmap

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Be contributing to our initiative and epic research and development
  • Have a good understanding of the marketplace, personas, buyers, buying dynamic, and key user workflows
  • Be leading and driving conversations about where our product lines should be going, encouraging debate and critique
  • Have contributed to a product release by validating and testing the assumptions of the release from a newcomer's perspective
  • Have analyzed the past 4 releases for your product line in detail to identify the focuses, compromises, and areas for improvement
  • Be evaluating new feature and enhancement requests based on various dimensions (i.e. alignment with existing strategic themes and initiatives, market demand, innovation, etc.)
  • Plan your first release with Product Owners and Engineering
  • Become an autonomous member of the Product team and independently plan work to meet deadlines

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Have presented to the Product team your proposed 12-month rolling roadmap for your product areas
  • Own the development of Epics from first idea and lead Epic refinement with Engineering and Product Owners
  • Have developed a relationship with Sales and Customer Success Manager team members as a go-to source for customer information and feature requests
  • Have built a format for a customer roundtable and hosted your first session
  • Build and advocate for a new strategic product initiative and present your findings

  • You have a growth mindset and have strong problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to take complex business requirements and translate them to a form that's widely understandable
  • You're able to think through and advise on how small changes or requests can have strategic impacts across all levels of the business
  • You're comfortable speaking with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, willing to travel when appropriate, and able to seek out conversations and discussions yourself
  • You are self-motivated with a curiosity about how our customers work, and passionate about delivering great user experiences
  • You're comfortable balancing the priorities of different team members in working with and solving problems with customers. You don't shy away from awkward situations or being clear when you can't commit to something
