Role Description

The Project Manager will immediately become an important contributor to the Oak Street Health Expansion Team by providing oversight for the real estate and construction build-out process for all of Oak Street's new care centers across the US. The ideal candidate will be motivated by Oak Street Health's mission to become a leader in value-based primary care for underserved populations. He/She will have experience managing multi-site commercial construction projects and engaging external partners to meet budget and timeline expectations for new clinic completion.

The role will be a combination of managing the execution of Oak Street Health's construction process (50% of time), maintaining and evaluating external vendor partnerships (25% of time), and assisting in clinic site selection and design (25% of time). As the portfolio expands, the Project Manager will develop programs to improve the expansion process and assist in managing the existing portfolio.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist with new clinic site selection and design
  • Engage broker and landlord for LOI, lease and site plan negotiations
  • Coordinate bids and contracts for architect and general contractor
  • Oversee budget process and ensure budget guidelines are met
  • Create and maintain adherence to schedule for timely clinic opening
  • Facilitate permit process
  • Setup utilities, business licenses and maintenance contracts
  • Inform project team of clinic progress and involve team members as necessary
  • Complete project closeout process

The role reports to the Director of Corporate Development and Expansion and has opportunity for rapid advancement.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7-10 years of experience in Construction Project Management
  • Demonstrated experience of leading and getting results from others
  • Ability to independently pursue and implement solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
