The role in a nutshell

Retrofit is looking for a Product Manager to work closely with our customers and account management team to define & write the requirements for successful customer launches and product innovations.  In addition, this product manager will be the product owner for our innovative Diabetes Prevention Program.  

What you’ll do

Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Owner

  • Ensure Retrofit's DPP product continues to meet requirements for CDC recognition.  
  • Oversee tracking and reporting for DPP product
  • Continuously innovate the DPP product to bring disruption to the marketplace.
  • Evangelize the product vision and roadmap for the DPP in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Manage DPP product changes, improvements and innovations from requirements writing through development and delivery into the marketplace.
  • Active participation with the Council for Diabetes Prevention and other key industry influencers.

Partner Product Manager  

  • Clearly document user stories or requirements in order to successfully launch a new partner customers
  • Research, identify and analyze market or customer needs and translate into new features
  • Scope day to day customer requests and make strategic recommendations about next steps
  • Write requirements, prioritize, and project manage the ongoing customer request backlog
  • Develop high level and detailed project plans and oversee delivery of milestones to ensure projects stay on track
  • Effectively communicate changes in scope to stakeholders including the executive team
  • Help create customer facing product presentations, demos, or trainings

What you need

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university
  • A minimum of 5 years of product management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business, customer and user needs into innovation opportunities and product features
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in Agile product development environment

Impress us even more

  • Experience navigating regulatory environment for disease prevention solutions, strongly preferred
  • Experience with products for mobile devices (smart phones, text, activity devices)
  • Experience developing social, gamified, and/or highly experiential products
  • Registered dietitian or relevant experience, a plus
