What will you do?

Xaqt is seeking an analytics-driven product manager who will be foundational in building out our Connected Data and Smart Cities products.

This will be a far-reaching role that will have a dramatic impact across all aspects of our business including our customers, external partners, and internal teams

You will work closely with clients to understand their goals through effective communication, abstract requirements gathering, and collaborative road-mapping. You’ll own the intersection of Technology, UX, Business, and process to create an environment that delivers quality to our customers. Our team is highly collaborative and has a lean mentality to quickly build, measure, and learn.

You will analyze business requirements, provide product solutions & recommendations, and translate decisions into an impactful product that serves our clients and their end users.

Our ideal candidate is a fast learner, able to quickly grasp complex requests and craft creative approaches and communicate gracefully and effectively with clients and internal teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead the research, ideation, and creation of the data products roadmaps for our urban intelligence platform.
• Create innovative data products and platform features that leverage our unique position in a multi-sided solution.
• Partner with UX design, marketing, engineering, and sales to deliver the best product for our customers, partners, and internal team
• Work with engineers to identify the optimal solutions to meet current and future strategic needs while keeping data vision and roadmap in mind.
• Lead stakeholders through the research, ideation, and creation of the product vision, roadmap, and backlog.
• Consolidate requests, designs, and technical research to create well-defined, well-documented and prioritized requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to prioritize the roadmap and champion the features which will provide the most internal and external value
• Stay well-informed about our clients’ business initiatives to conceptualize features that achieve their objectives
• Participate in testing for quality assurance and user acceptance
• Lead the customer team to define functional requirements, develop detailed product specifications and associated project workplans.
• Support the Xaqt Services team on project governance activities (project plans, weekly status reviews, cross-functional meetings, executive status reviews)
• Effectively and proactively communicate with customers and build a trusted advisor relationship
• Regular travel (25+%) to customer sites is required

You are

• Passionate about data, learning, and working and collaborating to build a great product.
• Excited to collaborate with your UX team to conduct usability tests, A/B testing, and site surveys. You’ll need to interpret results and surface learnings to the organization.
• Solid communicator, possessing strong presentation and verbal & written communication skills.
• Exceptionally organized and very comfortable working with engineering and design teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Understands and can create tangible clarity around abstract ideas
• Has strong business writing skills and presentation skills
• Has proven organizational skills and attention to detail while retaining big picture goals
• Comfortable working across internal teams (developers, designers, instructional designers, solutions managers etc)
• Has a track record of successful delivery of medium and large-scale software development projects to production

Pre-Requisites

• 3+ years product management experience, preferably with a data or data-driven product
• 3+ years in a client facing role
• Experience with online and offline data collection, data onboarding and data management platforms
• Experience performing user research, market/competitive research, and soliciting customer feedback
• Experience working with engineers in an agile environment
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Urban Analysis or Transportation Experience (preferred)
