The Product Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing responses to incidents resulting from normal course of site operations. They will work with various teams to ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner. Duties will include the following:• Define and maintain standard operating procedures for investigating new incident reports including gathering of key facts, identifying recurring and related issues and process for reproducibility in a time-sensitive manner• Monitor/document/guide/escalate active issues (via conference calls, emails, instant messages etc) by hosting calls, asking/answering questions, collecting metrics• Interact horizontally (Product Managers/UX, Engineers/QA, Digital Operations) as well as vertically (Business Partners, Management, Vendors) within the organizational
Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role • Lead the development and ongoing improvement of the product incident management process• Develop in-depth knowledge of the complex digital landscape• Maintain inventory of active issues and status• Ensure the prioritization of incidents by product teams and within an agile framework based on importance and impact• and/or facilitate identification of temporary workarounds to minimize impact• Maintain awareness of current threats and vulnerabilities• Report out to leadership and product management teams on observations, trends and key opportunities for improvement• Author / send summaries of production incidents to inform stakeholder community• Participate in discussions with subject matter experts to ensure the product management point of view is represented/informed• Maintain and meet deliverable schedules by proactively obtaining information across internal teams• Produce deliverables suitable for executives (clear, concise, polished)• Use critical thinking skills to understand / communicate problems and propose solutions where appropriate• Participate in on-call rotation in the event of a production issue outside core business hours• Facilitate incident debriefs and root cause analysis• Undertake special projects as requested by management
The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients • Bachelor's degree. Within a technical discipline Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related fields is a plus.• 3-5 years• Direct experience in a digital environment in a relevant capacity• 3+ years overall relevant experience• 1-2 years Digital experience• Experience working in an Agile development environment and managing iteration-level deliverables.
