Key areas of ownership that you will drive forward for the organization personally, through leading your team, and collaborating cross-functionally:

  • Organization design, leadership, and management of Product Management and Design functions
  • Partnership with VP of Engineering in setting expectations for operational excellence of R&D
  • External and internal representation of Lever's product vision and roadmap
  • Alignment of product strategy across all departments
  • Partnership with marketing on roadmapping, product packaging, and other areas of product marketing
  • Partnership with Customer Experience on customer feedback, product research, feature rollout, adoption, and customer advocacy
  • Partnership with Finance on vendor management, budget, and product cost analysis
  • KPIs: product engagement, NPS, gross retention, net retention

You bring expertise in these areas and can help to uplevel the team in:

  • Product judgement for enterprise B2B software at scale
  • Analytical rigor and data-driven decision making
  • Efficient execution
  • User-centered design
  • How to set expectations and measure execution of B2B R&D teams
  • Professional growth of reports

You will be able to grow in this role and progress in your career by learning:

  • To define the future vision of Talent Acquisition Suites, bringing together ATS, CRM, nurturing, and talent analytics technology
  • How talent leaders can elevate their work by being data-driven and by learning from peer leaders in marketing, sales, and finance
  • To partner with Lever's board in leading our product investment strategy
  • New analytical and executive skills operating a a highly efficient, fast growing SaaS company toward further growth

In this role, you will improve Lever in:

  • Customer satisfaction and retention
  • Alignment of product development to the highest customer impact
  • The throughput of feature development, bug fixes, and platform improvements
  • Enterprise readiness of feature designs
  • Comprehensiveness of Lever's product for customers' baseline operational needs
  • User experience of core Lever functionality
  • Continued evolution of Lever's innovative and differentiated features
  • The board's understanding of product/market fit, product strategy, ecosystem, and competitive landscape

WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL

  • Meet 1:1 with all members of the product and design teams, engineering managers, and executive staff
  • Meet additional stakeholders from Customer Experience, Marketing, Business Operations, and Sales
  • Become product certified
  • Learn about prior product discovery work and Lever's extended roadmap priorities
  • Shadow customer calls with 5 mid-market customers between 100 and 1000 employees
  • Shadow customer calls with 5 of Lever's largest 50 customers
  • Take ownership of the Product dashboard in Lever's weekly executive meeting and bi-weekly All Hands
  • Present your assessment and any immediate initiatives to Lever's executive team and Company All Hands. Your plans should aim to improve customer satisfaction and retention through better measurement of progress, development velocity, and product and design decision making
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s with your reports and coach them on their operating plans and OKRs

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU'LL

  • Partner with Lever's executive team in owning product readiness for international growth
  • Partner with business development in creating plan for new revenue streams
  • Establish product engagement metrics and targets, managing the team to those metrics
  • Ensure that previous high severity bug backlog is fully resolved and new high severity bugs are fixed within a month
  • Present a plan for improved R&D execution with our VP of Engineering at a Lever Board Meeting
  • Lead our twice annual roadmap planning process in partnership with Engineering and Product Marketing
  • Standardize research, design, and product reviews
  • Scale Lever's PM & design teams with additional hires
  • Join Customer Advisory Board meetings

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL

  • Lead product management and design initiatives identified in initial assessment
  • Demonstrate improved product satisfaction through product engagement metrics, NPS data, and churn trends
  • Set standards for enterprise readiness of product features, and evolve design and product practices to meet these at the time of launch
  • Demonstrate improved R&D velocity In partnership with engineering
  • Partner with Revenue Operations, Customer Experience, and Sales teams in completing Customer 360 initiative milestones
  • Follow through on product engagement metrics with product management team presentations at All Hands
  • Present our updated roadmap at Lever's annual customer conference
  • Take a role in teaching Lever's product and design vision to all new employees at Ramp Camp, Lever's new employee onboarding program
  • Understand all existing features of Lever and how they compare to competitive products
  • Participate in mid-year executive offsite and second half plan revision

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL

  • Lower customer churn, especially with Lever's fastest growing customers
  • Increase the comprehensiveness of Lever's product for customers' operational needs
  • Lead the design and product management team in improving the user experience of core Lever functionality
  • Lead the product management team in evolving product vision for immediate, medium, and long term horizons
  • Educate product management and design team members on career ladders, skill competencies, and other professional development opportunities
  • Develop managers and leaders within product management and design
  • Lead product and design in continued organization design, annual planning, and budgeting
