Job Description Summary

This position is responsible enhancing and extending CCC’s analytics products through all phases of the product life-cycle from inception through retirement; this includes evaluating new market/customer needs and priorities, building business cases for new products and significant product enhancements, partnering internally and externally to ensure effective development and implementation of product plans.
Reporting to our Senior Vice President, Product Management, this individual will lead a function that is critical to the success of our overall business strategy. Over a period of 12-16 months, success will be measured by this individual’s ability to deliver “sticky”, high-impact use cases serving multiple segments of CCC’s customers, including repairers, insurers, OEMs, and more. This individual will also have enhanced the technical sophistication of CCC’s existing next gen analytics platform, including the injection of predictive algorithms and intuitive self-service interfaces for end-users (e.g., customers, 3rd parties, application developers, etc.).

 

Job Duties

  • Build the analytics product portfolio’s vision by engaging with internal and external stakeholders to elicit analytics requirements and understand priorities. For example, conduct visits with customers, perform competitive analysis, and work with internal teams - Sales, Consulting, Technical Development, and Technical Support to draw necessary insight from multiple viewpoints to understand market needs.
  • Understand the market dynamics for analytics products, including the assessment of the Total Addressable Market, buying behaviors, competitive positioning and market trends
  • Develop business plans for new products and significant product enhancements including: identification of options to capture the market opportunity, the decision framework, investment priorities, business model (i.e., sales projection, costs)
  • Drive the development process, including the development roadmap and prioritization of product enhancements and customer requests, by making smart, decisive tradeoffs using data-driven analysis and sound judgment
  • Collaborate with sales/consulting, marketing, technology development and service operations teams to  manage customer expectations around product delivery / implementation.
  • Provide direction to the product launch team to ensure the organization is ready to train, deploy, and support the product in the market
  • Measure and communicate (at an executive level) the actual results of the release/product against the business case revenue expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the massive amounts of data to which CCC has access, and establish processes and procedures around the use of that data. Working in close partnership with the legal function, Identify new opportunities to monetize/productize the unique combination of CCC’s data assets.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or another related field is required, an MBA is highly desired
  • Minimum of 10 years of Product Management/Product Consulting experience – Industries??? Insurance required
  • Understanding of workflow automation and analytics solutions in general, is required, within the Auto claims operations is very helpful – is anything within claims?
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, craft a vision, get people excited by ideas and get them quickly to market
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle
  • Financial acumen to analyze financial results and new market opportunities is preferred
  • Business requirements authoring/management, Workflow diagramming, product line management
  • Experience with Pragmatic Marketing and Agile processes preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills - documentation, presentations, and flowcharts
  • Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate with business partners, senior management executives, technical analysts, developers, & other cross-functional staff (e.g., legal, marketing)
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • The ability to travel approximately 20-35% is required.
