This position is local to Chicago with a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days within the office, located in River North and 2-3 days working from home. All employees are full vaccinated and we offer safe working conditions. 


Summary 

The Digital Strategist (DS) is a full-time position in the Digital Branch within the Creative Department, responsible for managing the development, presentation and execution of digital experiences and user interfaces across all digital mediums including websites, registration forms, email communications, virtual event platforms, mobile apps, RFID/NFC, interactive activations and emerging technology. This position requires excellent project management experience, technical proficiency and familiarity with backend systems (CMS or other solutions) along with interest in discovering new technologies. The role also requires proactive leadership to: manage vendor partners, coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and beyond client expectations.



Responsibilities

  • Strategize, manage and oversee the execution and implementation of digital assets and integrated solutions to fulfill the client’s objectives. Digital assets and solutions include: websites, registration forms, email communications, virtual event platforms, mobile apps, RFID/NFC, interactive activations and emerging technology. 
  • Develop and manage relevant timelines across project elements.
  • Deepen understanding of existing platforms by uncovering and exploring new solutions or updates that may elevate project work. 
  • Research new products and services to identify new solutions and opportunities that will enhance and/or create efficiencies relevant to project work.
  • Define user experience strategy and oversee digital implementation throughout the full lifecycle — from concept and design to development, production and reporting. This includes conducting research, identifying personas and working with designers + developers to create wireframes and user flow that meet the requirements of each audience.
  • Create technical documentation and data mapping for any new or existing integrations between technologies.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure client end goals are met through any data exchange between platforms or custom products.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with a cross-departmental team (Client Services, Production, Design, Creative Strategy, Copy) and external partners.
  • Assist in quality assurance testing across all major browsers and devices.
  • Research, source and manage third party vendors, technology solutions and strategic partners.
  • Develop reports and analyze, manage and present data insights
  • Create and maintain digital briefs, project scopes and estimates for all digital components
  • Write creatively, clearly and concisely, articulating digital concepts developed by the team
  • Assist in preparing client presentations using Google Suite, Keynote and / or PowerPoint
  • Represent digital expertise in client conversations and present digital concepts during client calls when needed.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned. 



Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in digital or technical project management, content strategy and UX, agency experience is a plus
  • BA or equivalent required in relevant major
  • Must be a self-starter, clear communicator, critical thinker, highly organized and  detail-oriented 
  • Strong communication throughout all phases of a project with internal teams and external vendors
  • Strong active listening skills: ability to interpret information and turn it into actionable next steps
  • Ability to develop and adhere to detailed project timelines
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Experience managing productive relationships with clients and vendors
  • Experience working within backend systems and platforms (experience with registration platforms such as Cvent, Aventri, Swoogo, etc. is a plus) 
  • Intermediate HTML and CSS skills
  • Experience with SQL queries, Javascript or JSON is a plus
  • Familiarity with database management and understanding of web-based APIs is a plus
  • Skilled in using  email marketing tools such as Mailchimp
  • Experience with content management systems such as Wordpress
  • Self-motivation and time management skills required
  • Highest level of professionalism and self-confidence
  • Skilled at presenting ideas clearly and listening effectively
  • Superior time management skills and ability to balance multiple projects
  • Must be able to travel if needed and work occasional nights/weekends
