Position Details:
As a Network Security Engineer, you will actively protect the integrity and confidentiality of Grainger information assets by implementing and supporting Network Security tools, integrating Grainger Network Security tools and processes, collaborating across the organization, and demonstrating effective communication and analytical skills. You have a foundational knowledge of Network Security concepts and Network Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
You will report to the Senior Manager of Information Security.
You Will:

• Knowledge of Network design, Network protocols, and Network troubleshooting tools
• Familiar with Firewall Logs, Network traces, and understanding of application traffic flows.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama Management Console
• Knowledge of Network Security tools and concepts within AWS Cloud services
• Identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement within the Network Firewall and VPN domains.
• Leads small projects with minimal direction, contributes to medium and large projects in collaboration with Senior Network Engineering team members.
• Collaborates with Grainger technology teams in development of Network Security process automation, solution development, and technical problem resolution.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform is a plus.

You Have:

• 1+ years of experience imple menting and supporting Palo Alto Firewalls and the use of Panorama Mgt. Console
• 3+ years required of combined IT and Security work experience with a broad exposure to Infrastructure & Networks within multi-platform environments.
• Quickly learn, become competent in, and effectively apply new Information Security skills.
• Effectively execute tasks with minimal supervision in a complex and large IT environment.
