Join the AMA team that is dedicated to the betterment of public health as the Senior Product Manager in Physician Engagement - Web User Design. As part of the team, you will support the development and growth of the AMA Education Center's digital product portfolio. Responsibilities include: (1) digital product development, (2) operations and maintenance through coordinated technology management, (3) growth of key performance indicators to increase online user engagement (4) development and growth of new education center revenue streams. Additionally, you will lead the effort to build and deploy a new Education Center platform for the American Medical Association. The platform will support all individual and institutional sales of learning products for a variety of health professionals and learning objectives. Focus will be on deploying new types of educational services that are or will soon transform the medical education business. Deliverables from this team will be near term and ongoing platform releases that support the evolution of the Education Center business model.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as lead product owner for development of a new education delivery platform. Champions business strategy. Assists marketing to conduct customer research with both end users and paying institutional and group customers. Defines requirements from business objectives and user needs.
  • Leads technical product managers and business analysts to define acceptance criteria that meet user expectations. Oversees design. Engages user experience developer, new business development, and marketing to develop seamless user journeys that generate leads and new revenue on an ongoing and automated basis. Oversees day-to-day agile development workflow across all platform deployments.
  • Assists Director, Digital Marketing to develop online engagement strategy for education digital product portfolio in the Education Center, including definition and valuation of target online audiences. Also helps develop automated systems to support digital marketing programs that drive user engagement and revenue. This includes managing digital promotional marketing budget, marketing list governance and data analysis to measure success against goal KPIs.
  • Stakeholder idea extraction using techniques like persona development, problem/solution analysis, customer interviews and other forms of generative product research.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA or BS required; an advanced degree preferred but appropriate experience can substitute for this requirement
  • 10 years’ of holistic digital experience with a background in multiple business disciplines including advanced knowledge of revenue streams and market analysis.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in developing and managing digital products, including experience authoring requirements, generating acceptance criteria, releasing products to a wide and mature end user audience
  • Degree or certification in project management (PMP) or business process engineering (Six Sigma) preferred but not required
  • Experience serving as lead ‘scrum product owner’ representing the voice of customer, business, and user within agile software development team frameworks
  • Experience leveraging wireframe and flow chart software to analyze, define, and present complicated offline and online workflows (ie. Balsalmiq, InVision, or equivalent of Visio)
  • Excellent knowledge of publishing and learning management technology, industry trends, standards, and implementation of these technologies and their application
  • Proven track record in the responsibilities of driving product growth through clearly defined KPIs, data analysis and targeted online engagement marketing programs
  • Demonstrable communication, problem solving, and quantitative analysis skills
  • Strong leadership, selling and influencing skills that achieve results at all levels of management
  • Experience in presenting and communicating key concepts and ideas across all areas of the organization
  • Some travel required
