The Engagement:

We are seeking a contract Instructional Design Specialist for project-based assignments to assist in developing Learning & Development material & programs. The ideal fit for this role will have experience in designing and developing learning deliverables that meet our learners where they are and support our high growth goals & initiatives.  This role is managed by the Director, Learning and Development, and will design and deliver high quality, learner-focused assets mainly in the areas of sales, management, and people/human resources programs, including assets that will be used in the onboarding of new Elevaters.

What you will do: 

  • Design & develop clear, comprehensive and engaging learning material & programs focused on knowledge, skills and competency development to improve performance and facilitate company growth 
  • Design & develop learning deliverables that are engaging, interactive, effective & drive results 
  • Create content for eLearning offerings, including microlearning assets, engaging videos, online assessments & other on demand virtual resources  
  • Ensure all learning solutions are designed for each individual learner to meet or exceed stated objectives 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Education, Instructional Design/Technology, Adult Learning Theory or related areas 
  • 1-2 years of instructional design experience in a corporate setting required  
  • Experience in instructor-led and digital learning & development strategies/approaches 
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and determine priority in a fast-paced, often changing environment
  • Excellent fluency with Articulate 360 suite, especially Storyline and Rise to develop robust eLearning offerings required, fluency with Vyond animation tools required, and experience with audio/video editing and publishing highly desired 
  • Portfolio/work samples are required 

Duration/Rate:

  • Project-based assignments, durations will vary, projected average of up to 20 hours per week 
  • $40-$50/hour  

Please note that this role is a 1099 Independently Contracted position, not an employed position with Elevate K-12. You will be partnering with Elevate K-12 to assist our teams on a contractual basis. No benefits will be offered with this position and there will be no company tax withholdings on payments to the contractor.
