The Designer, Development & Build Solutions will join an agile and fast-paced team that builds sold campaigns including native content articles, and designs and builds rich media units and standard ad units for a wide range of advertisers across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner of internal proprietary products and can work quickly and efficiently. This person should also be able to confidently manage multiple deadlines at once and seamlessly collaborate with editors, designers, project managers and platform developers.
II. Essential Job Functions

45% Native: Develop and build Standard and Premium articles in our Native CMS. This also includes Curated Collections, Gift Guides and Flipcard Articles
40% Rich Media Units: Build and design all rich media units, and optimize and iron out issues in templates
7% Standard Display: Support the design of static, standard units for high-spending clients or specific campaign needs
5% Video: Design Engagement Video Units & Shoppable Videos
3% Shopper: Act as backup for post-sale mock creation to facilitate quick client approval and launch campaigns on time

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in design preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience as a designer in an editorial or agency setting
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience working in ad tech creative development platforms (e.g. Celtra) or with rich media capabilities
Experience with a variety of software, including Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
Prior branded content experience is a plus
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines
Fast learner of internal proprietary products
Ability to create layouts to make collaboration with developers quick and accurate for UX/UI
Driven by tight deadlines and are a highly organized multi-tasker
Comfortable interacting with clients and across different business groups and stakeholders
