What You Do:


As an Account Executive, you will serve as an ambassador for Uptake, working on the front lines to support our customers. You will drive new revenue and deliver world-class customer and dealer support.


You’ll be responsible for account management and strategic sales growth in an assigned region, where you’ll develop and execute sales objectives and strategies. You will be mainly responsible for managing customer onboarding, entitlement and administrative support requests. You will also protect and grow our SaaS revenue stream by nurturing customer relationships and provide quality customer service by responding to external queries and proactively offering ongoing care and service. This is a highly visible role, since channel partner, OEM and end-user success and support are a critical component to revenue streams.


Responsibilities:



  • Engage with clients to drive engagement and value

  • Work onsite in the field, as well as at Uptake, to support clients and the field team

  • Understand the big picture, proactively position value, and assist with execution of a sales strategy

  • Drive adoption of new modules, products and services

  • Own and manage interaction plans to ensure continuity and support renewal

  • Work with the training, finance and operations teams to manage customer welcome and onboarding activities

  • Manage customer administrative and entitlement activities

  • Partner with the account team (sales and PS and CS Management) to provide seamless customer interaction

  • Analyze data from support use, surveys and all other forms of feedback to form a comprehensive point of view on clients and territory

  • Report on a client’s propensity to renew

  • Create and maintain a rolling four quarter view of your accounts and corresponding revenue

  • Educate the customer on the value of support and design an outreach program to keep in contact with the customer on a quarterly basis

  • Ensure all communication with customers are documented in the CRM system

  • Ensure the CRM, SFA and engineering systems are regularly updated for operational readiness and data quality on your accounts

  • Liaise closely with the support team to resolve issues in a proactive manner

  • Collaborate across teams to drive automation and system improvements in our customer engagement processes


 


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years successful track record in a sales role (account management preferred with strong customer care skills) at a SAAS/big data software /IT company

  • 2+ years of successful lead generation experience

  • Ability to articulate Uptake’s values and address potential client’s concerns

  • Team player and excellent communicator who can work seamlessly with sales, technical and finance teams

  • Experience in a startup preferred

  • Proficiency in recording and documenting information in a CRM system, preferably SalesForce

  • Willingness to work extra hours at quarter end to meet the needs of the business

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
