In the years to come, Opternative’s goal is to use its digital, refractive eye exam as a beachhead for additional eye care products and cloud based services delivered by eye care providers through our platform. ACCOUNT MANAGER OBJECTIVES:

Opternative is seeking to commercialize its service through B2B partnerships with optical retailers, manufacturers, employer/employees, and payers. The Account Manager position will work within our B2B channel to drive and maintain close relationships with our partners. Opternative seeks a creative and talented individual who will be responsible for defining, developing and executing our account management function to ensure high growth potential, customer satisfaction, and long term retention. Account Managers own the relationship between Opternative and our partner clients from the time a contract is signed, to the launch of their service and the upgrade of customer capabilities through the sale and implementation of new roadmap features. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity, in concert with our executive team, to define Opternative’s offerings for new markets (corporate, insurance) and international geographies. Although this is not primarily a sales position, a sales process and awareness skillset is required.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish relationship and success metrics to ensure that customers are pleased with Opternative and receiving maximum return on their investment in deploying our service to their customers and employees.
  • Manage day-to-day relationship of key stakeholders at partner site to ensure all expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Communicate consistently with customers throughout the contract lifecycle, escalating important issues where needed.
  • Provide resources to answer customers' questions, identifying needs for account customization and deeper implementation, where applicable.
  • Work with customers during initial pilot implementation and onboarding to lay a foundation for long-term success.
    • Identify & confirm contractual obligations (technical, pricing, regulatory, legal)
    • Understand key user/manager/champion objectives
    • Define company and individual success metrics
  • Manage customer expectations, keeping customers happy and expectations realistic.
  • Coordinate with product management & development team to ensure timely closure of quality issues and feature requests.
  • Create service orders and contract addendums, obtaining necessary customer signatures, and communicating with our accounting department.
  • Identify and play a key role to expand usage and revenues.
  • Drive customer adoption of new Opternative offerings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3- 5 years of sales or account management with experience closing and managing relationships
  • A healthy respect for a great sales process, a love of people and building relationships
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing sales quotas
  • Exceptional desire to win in business
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision
  • Prior experience working in a high-growth startup company
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, dynamic start-up environment
