NowSecure is actively seeking a Application Security Consultant in our Chicagoland corporate office for our exciting, high-profile projects that focus on the security of mobile apps. The Security Consultant will collaborate with our expert global team of mobile security researchers and be responsible for managing services projects related to mobile device and application security. 

NowSecure, which pioneered the mobile security industry and helps the world’s largest financial institutions and organizations protect their data on mobile devices, recently closed on a $12.5 million Series A.  In conjunction with the fundraising and renewed focus on providing a comprehensive mobile security solution, NowSecure offers a mobile security platform that protects individuals, devices, apps and enterprises. The company’s clients include four of the five largest banks and large corporations across industries including finance, defense and healthcare.

Position Responsibilities:

• Understand the specific security details related to mobile apps, devices and operating systems
• Have a technical understanding of pen-testing techniques used to target mobile apps and Web Services
• Work closely with team of analysts to create technically sound and actionable reports for customers, including coordination and project management (client interaction, deliverables, escalations, etc).
• Prepare and deliver proposals for services engagements
• Work with clients to discuss findings and security vulnerabilities to help them produce secure applications
• Communicate about mobile security in general with technical audiences
• Continuously monitor the state of the mobile security industry with an eye towards innovation, contributing thoughts on tools or industry knowledge
• Growing the business by identify up-sells with existing and potential clients
  
• Work with our Research and Product teams to assure continuous upgrades to existing offerings and the development of new cutting edge mobile security solutions
• Work in an agile and expedited project structure

Position Requirements:

• Must work with a sense of urgency to meet customer deadlines, while maintaining quality in services
• Must demonstrate a strong fundamental understanding of security.
• 5+ years IT security experience
• Prior experience in pen-testing and reverse engineering mobile apps is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Applicable Certifications include: CISSP, OSCP, CHFI, CEH, GPEN, GWAPT
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of professionalism
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Can work remotely anywhere in the US
