Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our People Potential Team (what we fondly refer to HR as here) to play an active role in helping Rightpoint attract and retain the best people in the industry.  In particular, this person will partner with people throughout the organization and the rest of the People Potential team to support the company’s business strategy as it relates to people and culture.

This person will serve as an internal business advisor to select departments, partner with department leadership, and be a trusted advisor to all team members within the groups he or she supports.  In particular, this person will apply outstanding communication and Change Management magic to help ensure people-programs take hold within the groups and the organization throughout.  Because we are a lean department, this person will also lead building out additional programs that will ultimately be implemented throughout the organization as well as take the lead on certain more “general” HR activities (e.g., be a point person for immigration, perform some analytics, etc. – all TBD based on the person’s prior experience and interests).

The successful candidate will be someone who has a strong understanding of business and an appreciation for how HR programs enable business strategy.  The person must be “People Obsessed” and “Client Obsessed” and, therefore, have a strong client service orientation and have a strong understanding of and appreciation for how Change Management is used to help programs take root. We are a lean team, so the ideal candidate will feel equally comfortable rolling-up their sleeves and jumping into the weeds as he/she is stepping back to be a strategic partner to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with and serving as a go-to advisor for department heads.  This includes coaching on employee relations, helping prepare and implement Change Management strategies to drive programs deep within the organization so that they become a strong part of our company fabric, and communications planning.  Examples of such programs include:  mentoring, performance management, coaching, etc.
  • Helping manage Employee Relations.  This means interacting with team members at all level as people, to understand what’s on their mind and address concerns in a manner that is in keeping with Rightpoint values.  We are big on listening, solving issues, and closing loops.
  • Actively engaging with team members to help the leadership team keep a pulse on what is on people’s minds.  Much of what we have built at Rightpoint has been a direct result of on-going dialogue and partnership with all of our team members and we want to ensure that we can stay in close touch and evolve programs even as we grow.
  • Being an active and fun team member of the company’s People Potential team.  We are a small but mighty team, comprised of recruiters and generalists.  Enthusiasm for organizational dynamics and trying new things to keep our culture and environment engaging is key.
  • As the company grows, there will inevitably be many more programs to develop, implement and manage.  Partner with the team and the rest of the organization with these initiatives.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of HR Generalist experience.  Experience working in a digital agency, consulting firm or professional services organization is strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and evolve strong relationships.
  • High levels of integrity and ability to deal with and keep secure highly confidential information.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding team-player.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Solutions-focused.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional client-service skills, with an appreciation for closing loops and getting things done in a timely manner.
