About the Role

As a Bookkeeping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail. This position offers valuable experience in bookkeeping and financial record maintenance.

 

Responsibilities

 

Data Entry:

Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software and maintain up-to-date records.

Ensure timely and precise recording of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

 

Reconciliation:

 

Assist in reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

 

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

 

Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and collections assistance.

Work with vendors and clients to address any billing inquiries.

 

Expense Tracking:

 

Assist in tracking and categorizing expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Prepare expense reports and support the reimbursement process.

 

Financial Reporting:

 

Generate basic financial reports as needed.

Assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reviews.

 

Communication:

 

Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

 

A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
