The Position:

The Business Development Associate will be a key member of the Solutions team, helping them reach sales goals by filling our pipeline with new business leads, while also learning the ropes of entry level sales. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate to break into the world of technology and software sales. He or she will be responsible for proactively researching, targeting, and prospecting potential customers, which include Fortune 500 companies, though a combination of phone and email campaign tactics. The goal is to ultimately convert leads into prospective client meetings for the senior business development partners. You’ll become an expert at using prospecting resources such as LinkedIn, Hoovers, and Salesforce, and learn how to perfect a clear and concise elevator pitch of our product. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is performance-driven and motivated. He or she should also have the ability to overcome objections, have strong organization and follow-up skills, and work collaboratively with InContext’s internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Use sales prospecting tools to research accounts and contacts to build your target list.
  • Proactively target a high volume of senior executives from top business development accounts through 1:1 phone and email communications.
  • Develop and continuously refine your elevator pitch in an effort to coordinate first meetings between prospective clients and InContext’s business development team members.
  • Have a thorough understanding of InContext’s portfolio of products and services.
  • Maintain business development accounts, contacts and lead info in Salesforce.
  • Work with marketing team to understand on-going campaigns and inbound lead process, and establish a follow-up process.
  • Leverage marketing automation tools (HubSpot) and CRM (Salesforce) to understand prospect behavior and identify interest signals.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with marketing and business development team members.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution
  • Relevant work and/or internship experience in sales
  • An innate sense of curiosity and entrepreneurship, along with a desire to independently solve business challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Motivation and confidence to secure prospective client meetings, and a high degree of comfort with outbound calling
  • Ability to overcome objections and secure the meeting
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, resourceful and persistent
  • Technologically savvy; proficient in (or ability to learn) CRM and marketing automation solutions
