Business Development Representative

Black Spectacles is looking for an experienced and ambitious business development representative to join our rapidly growing, dynamic team. Black Spectacles is a cutting-edge, architecture education company, and the only ARE prep provider backed by the AIA.

We’re looking for sales professionals with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience and a proven ability to drive results. You are an intermediate user of SalesForce. You must hold a bachelor’s degree and have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.You are a go-getter who is not afraid of the word ‘no.’ Experience in the architecture or design industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation
  • Identify opportunities to close sales and generate new business
  • Field inbound leads and set appointments with prospects
  • Hit daily and weekly prospect / appointment goals
  • Exceed activity, pipeline and revenue goals on a quarterly basis
  • Field website live-chat inquiries
  • Set up trials with prospects and nurture them into sales
  • Work hand-in-hand with marketing to develop sales collateral and content marketing pieces for leads
  • In collaboration with the CEO/Founder, build and develop a formal sales process

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a prospecting or sales role, ideally in the SaaS space.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • History of hitting and surpassing quota or sales goals.
  • Outgoing personality with strong conversational skills.
  • Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Tenacity and hustle!

Location

Stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic, we noticed our employees were enjoying the perks of a work-from-wherever lifestyle and that they appreciated the work-life balance that comes with that. Because of this, we have transitioned to a fully remote workforce! Our pets are our new Office Managers.
