Business Development Representative
Put simply, the job is to work in tandem with our Regional Sales Managers to close new business with school districts.
Essential Functions:
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
Participate in pricing the solution/service.
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
Present an image that mirrors that of the client.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience is nice, but we are open to someone who is ready and willing to learn a new skill set
Willingness to learn the products to a level of depth that will allow for inspiring decision-makers to take a meeting
Integrity and a willingness to embrace our company’s values
Effective strategic relationship management skills
Availability to travel (10%)
Detail-oriented

Comfortable with and inspired by a data-based management style with transparency of personal activity and closed sales metrics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Assertive, outgoing, competitive, and self-motivated attitude
Detail-oriented
Comfort level with “managing up” by prioritizing buying influencer meetings, summarizing key background information on decision-makers, and utilizing company resources as necessary
Willingness to help out wherever needed to close sales
Salesforce, or CRM, proficiency is a plus
Bachelor’s degree a plus
