MAIN COURSE (Job Responsibilities):This position is located in either our Addison, IL or our downtown Chicago office (with travel to Addison office).
We are looking for a passionate business finance leader who is excited to be a part of building a world class finance organization at Pampered Chef. Our ideal candidate loves finance, data driven decision-making and challenging the status quo. This role will provide experiences that will challenge your thinking, test your knowledge, and allow you to develop your capabilities. You’ll gain valuable finance and operational experience and have the opportunity to make a major impact. Your strategic and financial leadership and will improve our financial operational practices across the company. You’ll drive continuous improvement and create value through business partnership and aiding non-finance teams in developing critical thinking, data driven decision making, and business case analysis. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the organization and communicate the outcomes of your work to the executive leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll partner with cross functional teams to drive a higher level of financial acumen across the organization
- You’ll utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to build business cases and profitability scenarios in areas such as Product Development, Marketing and Operations
- You’ll demonstrate intellectual curiosity - continuously and relentlessly challenge and pursue new methods, processes and ways of thinking to deliver business results
- You’ll act as an owner by finding opportunities to create value across Pampered Chef
- You’ll develop process and materials, including DCF models for product development stage gate reviews
- You’ll learn from other best in class companies and implement the learnings at Pampered Chef
- You’ll Multi-task – manage multiple assignments at once, supporting different areas and initiatives
- You’ll support and assist functional partners in driving profitable growth
- A bachelor’s degree, finance focus preferred or pre-MBA candidate
- 3-5 years of relevant experience with a track record of success investment banking, private equity or consulting experience preferred
- World-class analytical skills – critical thinking, quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Financial and business acumen – evaluate financial data and translate into actionable recommendations to drive improved business results
- Problem solving and data driven decision-making – use logic and data to solve problems and propose effective solutions. Unafraid of diving in and getting hands dirty
- Strong communication and relationship management skills – communicate effectively to various levels in the organization and build cross-functional win-win relationships
- Leadership through influence – stimulating action with team members outside finance and/or direct reporting line
- Effective in setting priorities, goals and history of delivering timely results
- Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
