 The Business Systems Consultant AKA Business Analyst is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more business technologies.  You are key player in supporting the business and works on initiatives to define business processes and requirements and to lead the organization in identifying, selecting, implementing, and administering business technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on projects to improve the core business processes and technologies across the organization.

  • Administer one or more business technologies and modify them to meet changing business needs, requirements, and process improvements.

  • Utilize top-notch problem solving, troubleshooting, and root cause techniques to resolve questions, requests and issues from business user in person and via phone, IM, and email.

  • Develop training materials and train business users on how best to leverage the business technologies to complete their work. You have to be able to speak with the least technically-minded client and make technology make sense to them.

  • Leads cross-functional teams to identify and select business technology providers.

  • Leads the design, configuration, and implementation efforts for business technologies and/or works closely with vendors selected to implement the technology.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

 

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2  years experience in business systems analysis/analytics

  • Minimum 2  years experience in business process re-engineering

  • Prior experience working with a consulting firm preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced experience working with SAAS-based solutions
  • Strong technology background

  • Ability to productively work independently and as part of a project group

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Demonstrates exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to clearly and thoroughly document processes and procedures

  • Ability to correctly identify problems and recommend and implement solutions

  • Possesses a positive and professional attitude, even during hectic periods

  • Ability to effectively support local and virtual / remote co-workers

  • Ability to work positively with managed service providers

  • Ability to effectively plan and re-prioritize tasks and needs throughout the day, week, and month

  • Intermediate experience with Google Apps for Work
