Who are you?
A sharp, scrappy leader with startup experience and boardroom polish.  Your background garners respect from HR leaders (our customers). In one way or another, you have been involved in staffing or recruiting and understand the pain points on the candidate side as well as the employer.  You are motivated to deliver new technical solutions to the industry. 

It's clear this isn't your first startup rodeo -- you are a startup founder or previous key hire who actively mentors other startups, participates in the entrepreneurial and startup scene, sits on advisory councils or boards of fledgling companies, or acts as an entrepreneur in residence. 

In a former life you were called a VP of Sales, Director of Business Development, National Account Executive, Partner in a Staffing/Recruiting firm, Marketing Director, or General Manager. You are heavily networked and are respected by your peers.  You have professional connections that admire your industry knowledge (startup or HRTech) and seek out your advice on forming strategic partnerships, business development, leadership, and/or SaaS.

Finally, you are passionate about helping under-served Americans living near the poverty line.  What’s more, you know how to lead a team with strategic goals to fulfill a mission and a vision.

We love to turn our ideas into action – celebrating our successes and iterating on our failures. We are located in Chicago - and you will need to live here too.   
 
Your qualifications: 
  • Comfortable in front of business executives and investors
  • Previous experience raising capital and growing companies from Seed through Series A
  • Understanding of the HRTech, recruiting, and/or staffing landscape – including technology, KPIs, jargon, and pain points
  • Ability to marry company mission with bottom line metrics
  • Socially outgoing, optimistic, visionary, creative
  • Open to change; unafraid to fail forward
  • Bonus: experience with marketplace platforms
