ActiveCampaign is a quickly-growing SaaS company. We’ve built an integrated marketing & sales platform for companies of all sizes. We are known as the easiest-to-use solution on the market and we have a top-rated customer support experience.
Over the past couple years, the buzz around our platform has been growing rapidly. On the marketing team especially, there is a sense of urgency to capitalize on that goodwill and positive feedback. To excel here, you’ll need to be a driven, self-motivated person who can produce great work, quickly.

This is a cross-functional role, but you'll be focused primarily on engaging our users across a variety of channels and facilitating customer evangelism. In this role, you'll work very closely with our users. You’ll play an important part in introducing ActiveCampaign to new users, helping existing users get up and running with our platform, and amplifying our presence in the marketplace across a wide variety of channels.

During your first 90 days here, you'll want to familiarize yourself with the “ins and outs” of our platform so you can help our users with questions on how to accomplish best practices and field very specific questions about features. You'll want to brush up on various marketing and sales best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a personal interest in email marketing, marketing and sales automation, and business growth. You might read business books in your spare time and enjoy teaching and helping others.

Your typical day might consist of:
  • Replying to posts throughout the day as they appear on our community forum, Slack, and social media.
  • Planning, creating, and distributing content for our community.
  • Posting new content to social channels as it's created by the marketing and education teams.
  • Strategizing and implementing ways to increase engagement across all community channels.
  • Strategizing and implementing ways to increase customer evangelism.
  • Planning and participating in events such as webinars or in-person training.
  • As needed, you’ll help with a wide variety of marketing-related tasks including: email campaigns, copy, user resources, advertising, team brainstorming, and other miscellaneous marketing-related activities. This is a fast-moving startup environment, so you'll need to be ready for anything and willing to dive in no matter what's asked of you. The ideal candidate might think of themselves as an adaptable, dynamic generalist.
You'll need:
  • Experience in the SaaS industry is required, with experience in the MarTech or CRM space strongly preferred.
  • B2B experience, though only B2C experience won't necessarily disqualify a strong candidate.
  • You'll need to be an excellent communicator — both oral and written. To strengthen your application, please provide examples of your writing and/or examples of your community interaction.
  • To enjoy social interaction and, at times, the spotlight. You'll constantly be engaging in conversation and you may occasionally participate in webinars or other types of speaking engagements. An introverted person might struggle with this role.
  • A friendly, upbeat demeanor.
  • At least three years of experience with managing a community and/or social media.
  • A strong work ethic. You’ll need to balance quality and productivity to produce your best work in the least time possible.
